You might be struggling with anxiety, processing grief that others don't understand, or exhausted from constantly masking. Maybe your relationship needs help, or adulthood feels overwhelming. Whatever it is, you don't have to carry it alone. Reaching out for support isn't giving up. It's choosing something different.
It can help. And you don't have to have everything figured out before we start.
I'm Caroline, a BACP registered and NCPS accredited counsellor with specialist training in bereavement support and experience working with neurodivergent young people. My integrative approach means I adapt to what you need rather than fitting you into a formula.
Whether you're an adult navigating anxiety or trauma, a young adult (18-24) finding your way, or a couple trying to reconnect, I work with compassion and without judgement. Sessions are available in person in Maidstone or online, and we can work short-term or long-term depending on what feels right for you.

Counselling isn't about fixing you or giving you advice; it's about allowing you to be heard, to then work through your problems and emotions to support awareness and empowerment for change. It's about creating a calm and non-judgemental space to understand yourself more clearly, process what's happened, and find ways to move forward.
In our sessions, I will listen, offer fresh perspectives, and help you explore what's beneath the surface. We'll work through difficult emotions and build practical strategies for daily life. You set the pace because you are the expert in your own life. You decide what you want to explore.
My role is to guide you to greater self-awareness, gently challenge your thoughts, and identify patterns with compassion and empathy.
I support people with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, and identity questions.
Two areas are particularly close to my heart: grief and bereavement. Losing someone changes you in ways others rarely understand. Grief isn't linear, doesn't follow a timeline, and doesn't need to be 'fixed'. If you're navigating bereavement, I offer understanding that comes from both specialist training and genuine experience.
I also specialise in supporting neurodivergent individuals. Working daily with young people with autism and ADHD has given me deep insight into their experiences and unique challenges.
Support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and life's complex challenges.
Navigating identity, transitions, and the pressures of early adulthood.
Rebuilding connection, improving communication, and working through conflict together.

If something in your life is affecting your wellbeing, relationships, or daily functioning, counselling might help. You don't need to be in crisis or have a diagnosable condition. Perhaps you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself. Maybe you're dealing with a specific situation like grief or a relationship breakdown, or you just need space to talk things through with someone objective. If you're wondering whether counselling could help, that question itself is often a good indicator that it might be worth exploring.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's brought you to counselling, what you're hoping to get from our work together, and I'll explain how I work. You can ask any questions you have, and we'll discuss practical arrangements like frequency of sessions. There's no pressure—this is about seeing if we're a good fit.
This varies from person to person. Some people find that 6-8 sessions give them what they need, while others benefit from longer-term work over several months or even years. We'll review your progress regularly, and you're in control of when you feel ready to finish. There's no set timeline, and we can adapt as your needs change.
Yes, everything you share in our sessions is completely confidential. The only exceptions are if you disclose something that suggests you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or if I'm required by law to break confidentiality. I would always discuss this with you first wherever possible.
Many people worry about this, but there's no 'right' way to do counselling. You don't need to prepare anything or have it all figured out. We'll start wherever feels comfortable for you, and I'll guide the process. In some sessions, you might have lots to say; other times, we might sit with silence. Both are absolutely fine.
